• Accordian Fold
  • An accordian fold card is simply a card with more than one fold in it. Often each folded section is part of the overall design of the card. An accordion fold card includes pop-up cards and can add a three dimensional or moveable element.

• Acid Free
  • Paper made from wood based products that has not had it ligning removed goes yellow and deteriorates over time. Acid Free paper is paper with the lignin removed. Scrapbooks are designed to last and as such scrapbookers use acid free paper, stamping inks, and embossing powders. They also use pigment based inks which are fade resistant and color proof. As scrapbooking and card making have become more and more popular, acid free products have become quite common and easy to find.
• Acrylic Block
  • Acrylic stamping blocks provide a solid base for clear acrylic hobby rubber stamps. They are versatile, lightweight and easy to clean. Rubber stampers love them because they can see through the block to precisely where they want to position their stamped design.
• Acrylic Paint
  • A fast-drying paint that contains pigment suspended in an acrylic polymer. Acrylic paints are water soluble when wet but form an insoluble film when dry.
• Acrylic Stamps
  • Clear acrylic stamps are made from a high quality photo polymer material. Acrylic stamps are stored on an acetate carrier sheet usually hosting a black and white impression of the stamp itself. Acrylic stamps usually come in sets ranging from 1 to as many as 40 stamps on the carrier. Acrylic stamps are simply used by peeling the clear rubber stamp off the acetate carrier, and placing it onto the acrylic block where it will cling without adhesive. It is then used as the traditional wood mount rubber stamp except that the user can see precisely where the image will be placed. Clear acrylic stamps are easy to clean and store.

• Adhesive
  • A substance that comes in a liquid or semi-liquid state to adhere one element to another. Card makers and scrapbookers should use an acid free glue. Many scrapbookers use glue pens and glue dots to adhere elements to their pages.
  • Dry Adhesives - These include any pressure sensitive  or tape related product such as glue dots, double sided foam or tape and spray adhesives.
  • Liquid Adhesives - These are either permanent or repositionable adhesives and come in bottles, sticks, and pens. These adhesives work best for securing small items such as punch outs or letters to your hobby scrapbook and card making crafts.

• Complementary Colors
  • Pairs of colors that are of “opposite” hue in a color wheel
• Composition
  • Arrangement of artistic parts and creative elements, colors and shapes so as to form a unified whole that is aesthetically satifying. Within the composition one must also consider balance, color and texture that when combined with and image is pleasing to the eye. Composition may be symetrical, off-center or asymmetrically balanced.
