Encircled is a fun new card making template that features lots of curves as well as circles. This card template is ideal for designing handmade greeting cards with clear rubber stamps because of their flexibility.

To stamp along a curved edge, simply flex your favorite clear border rubber stamp to match your arc by placing the rounded paper edge under your clear block. Stick the border stamp onto the acrylic block following the arc of the paper below. Next, ink your stamp and your image will be perfectly bent to decorate the paper edge.

On this page you will find an easy to use card making template, paper cutting suggestions, and basic tips for using the template. You will also find links to cards that have been made using this template.

TO MAKE A CARD USING THIS TEMPLATE

    1. Select your clear stamps first. This will allow you to make sure your circles are the right size and that the curved edges have enough room for the clear border rubber stamps you wish to use.
    2. To form the arcs, cut 2 5 x 7 pieces of cardstock first. It is probably easiest to use a compass to draw the arc onto the paper. Be sure not to move either the paper or the compass point. You can do this by lightly taping the 5x7 cardstock to the surface of your workspace. To create the second arc, simply reduce the diameter of your circle by up to 1/2" and draw a second arc onto the second piece of 5x7 cardstock.
    3. The embellishments you add to the edges of this card are what make it beautiful. Don't be afraid to stamp stitching, corners, or background designs using your clear hobby rubber stamps.
