CARD MAKING IDEAS

Create a sunflower without a sunflower rubber stamp by using a circle for the center.  Using a stylus draw lines on your inked rubber stamp before you stamp.  This technique is discussed in more detail in the Shadow Stamping Tips and Techniques article.  For the petals of your sunflower, use a solid leaf or teardrop shape and do second generation stamping around the perimeter of your stamped circle.  (Second generation stamping is simply stamping the image twice before reinking the rubber stamp.)  The elegance in this card making craft is created using embossed vellum paper with the center section cut out for the sunflower to show through.  Secure vellum with a ribbon on the side of the card.

This is such a fun and simple technique.  Using the square rubber stamps found in the Geo Shapes Clear stamp set, stamp four tiled squares in your choice of colors.  Stamp the fall leaf  (All Year Clear Stamp Set) over the tiled design in a darker color to make it stand out.  Add your stamped highlight to any card or scrapbook page to enhance a fall theme.
