Gift bags are a delight to decorate, enhance or design with your creative ideas. On this page you will discover unique ideas for decorating what were once plain gift bags and turning them into hand made works or art. Clear hobby rubber stamps are used to make adorable images that make your gift bags personally suited to the recipient. Gift bags are relatively simple to make and can be enhanced with scrapbook elements as well.

Materials Needed:

• plain gift bags
• scrapbook embellishments such as brads, wire, ribbon, buttons etc.
• clear hobby rubber stamps
• coloring tools or your choice
• glue
• scissors
• pattern paper (learn how to design your own background paper by clicking here)

1. Cut out a tag shape in white cardstock.
2. Tear a piece of green paper and adhere to the bottom of the tag.
3. Using your favorite Flower Clear Rubber Stamps, design a bouquet or potted plant to adorn you gift bag.
4. Cut them out and arrange your flowers and leaves onto the tag.
5. Place a ribbon through the top of the tag.
6. Bend decorative wire into the word "Spring" and attach with complementary brads.
7. Attach the tag in the center of the bag and arrange the remaining flowers and leaves randomly on the bag.

1. Select background paper that will cover the center part of your gift bag. You may wish to design your own background paper so colors and designs work well together.
2. Cut a strip of solid colored paper that will go down the middle of the paper cut in step 1.
3. Stamp 3 hearts and cut them out.
4. Cut the edges of the solid paper with a scallop scissor and draw a solid line down each side (about 1/4" from the scallop edge)
5. Center and adhere the background paper to the bag. Glue the solid strip centered on the background paper.
6. Run a fine bead of glue down the center of the solid strip curving and dancing similar to the design on the hearts. Apply matching glitter
7. Secure hearts onto the bag with dimensional foam and attach a ribbon at the top of each heart to complete the craft.

This is a layered paper technique which creates a beautiful framed finish for the desing element.

1. Cut a black piece of paper to cover a large portion of your gift bag.
2. Cut a smaller blue piece of paper.
3. Cut a slightly smaller ivory paper.
4. Cut a final small blue paper which will be the background for the birthday image you stamp.
5. Using birthday clear rubber stamps, stamp a birthday element on white cardstock and color it as desired and then cut it out.
6. Glue all the layers together and attach to the gift bag.
7. Secure the stamped birthday element with dimensional foam so it pops out just a little to complete the project.
