Hobby rubber stamps and scratch art paper are a fun and exciting combination filled with a world of colorful possibilities.

On this page you will learn how to use your favorite clear hobby rubber stamps to design your own scratch art ideas that make projects so easy your kids can do them with you!

You will need blank scratch art paper, a scratch art tool, and the clear hobby stamp of your choice. For ink, choose a white or you can experiment with colors that you will be able to see on the black. This is another great craft that kids can do.

Scratch art & Rubber StampingSTEP ONE:

Choose the clear hobby rubber stamp design you wish to use and ink the stamp with white ink. As you stamp the design onto the scratch art paper, be sure it does not slide or your image will be more difficult to scratch.

STEP TWO:

Begin scratching out the lines made by the clear rubber stamp. Do not brush away crumbs of black; rather blow them out of your way. Brushing them may distort your pattern. Scratch out a border on the edge if desired.

Scratch Art, Rubber Stamping and Heat EmbossingVARIATION:

Instead of using white ink, use embossing inks, then heat emboss the design in black. Scratch around the embossed design and mat as desired. Be careful around details as you can easily scratch off the embossing.
