We have found that when favorites are shared, new ideas and projects are inspired and new favorites are discovered. Photo Tips for Summer Activities

Summer is jam packed with outings and family activities that in years to come will become some of the fondest of memories. Here are some basic tips for taking fun photos during your summer vacations...

  1. Be sure faces are not in shadow - with digital camera's this is easier to do than it has been in the past, but a few tips to help include making sure no one is wearing a hat that casts their eyes in shadow. If your subject is in the shade, be sure that your camera is also in the shade.
  2. Take lots of pictures at dusk or on cloudy days, this filters the light and your subjects are less likely to be squinting blindly at the camera.
  3. Take photos of your surroundings. You can create the feel of the holiday by simply adding photos of trees, rocks, water etc. that were unique to your vacation.
  4. See if your camera has a vivid setting which brings more yellow light into your photo and brings everything to life!!!
  5. Take sequential photos that will tell a story on your scrapbook pages without words. They do say that a picture is worth a thousand words - and that is why scrapbooks are always centered around the photos we take!
