CARDS

This card is simply made with white ink on dark paper using the Stars 'n Stripes Clear Stamp Set.  After cutting out the hearts, simply arrange them on a striped background.  Add stamped stars or star brads as embellishments.  To complete the card, stamp stars on a narrow blue strip and attach at the base of the card.

This simple patriotic card is designed using the All Year Clear Stamp Set and a red, white and blue color theme.  Unique stripes are created in blue ink using the border stamp.  The star is created by stamping the image onto 3 different colors of paper and cutting them out individually.  The stars are then cut into strips following the stamped image, and the portions of each star are compiled into one multicolored image.

This card features a fun way to add fireworks to your July card making and scrapbooking projects.  Simply use fun fur, or scrapbook fibers, tie a knot in the end leaving a 2" tail.  Tie the knot again over the first to make it larger.  Be sure to pull any small fibers out of the knot, so they spray away from the center.  Punch a small hole in your card or page and insert the 2" tails from the front of the card.  Tape the tails down on the back of the page.  You should have just the knot showing on the front side of your project. The fireworks are enhanced by creating curved lines with varying sizes of holes originating at the center of the explosion.  Stamp "July Fireworks" onto a tag using the Summer Season Clear Stamp Set and the Tiny Inkers ABC's Clear Stamp Set.  Mat and attach to your card.

• Have your family dress in the colors of the flag and take group and indiviual photos of them. 
• Photos of the fireworks make great background embellishments.
• Take a picture of the flag.
• Take silhouette shots of children looking at the fireworks.

PAGE IDEAS

• Create a flag pole on your page or card featuring a photo of the flag.
• Cut out photos of friends and family in the shape of a star or maple leaf.  Make the shape your theme.
• Cut out letter shapes from photos of fireworks to make your title.
• Use a "Growing American" theme and highlight a child.
• Create mini flags and attach toothpicks as flag poles.
