Textured or Background Clear Stamps:  Though not a solid geometric pattern, these stamp sets will give you an eye catching background to your shadow stamping projects.  You may want to mix them with a solid square shape for even more dimension.  Try stamping these designs on a solid stamp in the "Stamping on a Stamp" technique outlined in the Shadow Stamping Article

Geometric Stamps:  Geometric patterns and shahpes in any and size will most likely to be your favorite shadow stamping stamps as they are excellent in all shadow stamping projects.

Alphabet Background Stamps:  Some Alphabet Clear Stamp sets include background stamps.  Any alphabets background stamp that is solid will be a great shadow stamp as these often give you more shapes and designs to choose from.

Typically a foreground stamp will be a solid shape or near solid shape.   Below are some common stamps we suggest to help you in each technique explained in the shadow stamping article - "Shadow Stamping - Quick Elegant Projects". You do not have to stick to just the stamps listed below as just about any stamp will work depending on your project and theme.
