TO MAKE THIS CARD

TO MAKE THIS CARD

1.  Score cardstock A down the middle and fold giving you a 6" x 6" card.  Trim edges for evenness.  Cut papers B and C to size.

2.  Using the Tropical Clear Stamp Set and cardstock A, begin stamping the tops of the palm trees stamping two images before re-inking the stamp.  This is called second generation stamping.  Next stamp the trunk.  You can make straight or curved tree trunks with this clear stamp.  Fill in some greenery and sand around the trunks continuing with the second generation stamping technique.  Stamp water in the lightest blue ink, and mountains in purple.  Add a sailboat if desired.  Color the picture in with chalks or inks as desired until you are satisfied with the result.

3.  Choose the area on your picture that you want to highlight.  In the example we cut a 1-1/4” x 2-1/4” piece out of the scene.  You can make this part the size and shape that you wish.  This is piece E.  Mat piece E with D making sure that it measures no less than ¼” more than E both vertically and horizontally.

4.  Mat A with B.  Using 3-d sticky foam, secure D in place to once again complete the picture.  Secure B to the front of the card with 3-d sticky foam.

5.  Punch two holes in the side of the card and run ribbon through them for the final embellishment.  Add a sentiment or thought inside your card or leave it blank for a finished card making project!
