The hint of a heart, a bouquet of roses and loving sentiments make up the main elements of this card making craft. The main feature of this card is made with tulle and clear stamps. The 'Tulle Tool' is truly an amazing technique!
Tulle Tool Creation
PAPER DIMENSIONS
MATERIALS NEEDED
TO MAKE THIS CARD1. Score cardstock A 5” from the edge and fold giving you a 6" x 6" card. Cut papers B, C, D and E to size. Glue paper E onto the front inside of your card so only ¾” shows as indicated in the layout. Trim edges for evenness. 2. With paper C and some tulle, stretch the tulle over the paper and lightly secure so it won’t move. Using the 3 squares from the Garden Box Clear Stamp Set begin stamping squares in a checkerboard pattern across the tulle. Be sure the apply firm and even pressure so the ink goes through the little holes. 3. One the checker board pattern is complete, stamp a border from the Ribbons and Rikrak Clear Stamp Set around the checkerboard design. You may wish to remove the tulle first. This is optional. Once you are finished stamping be sure to remove the tulle. Round the corners with a corner rounder and ink the edges in brown. Mat with D. 4. Take the red tulle and cut a piece about 5-1/2” long. Stretch the tulle over cardstock B and secure in place with glue of sticky foam. Secure to the front of the card with 3-d sticky foam as indicated in the layout. Secure D onto B with glue. 5. Use the flower clear stamp and the red and green markers, color the stamp leaves and stems in green and the flowers in red. Stamp onto the extra ivory cardstock. Cut out around the design and mat with the extra brown cardstock. Secure to the card with 3-d sticky foam in the place of the oval on the layout. 6. Using a heart clear stamp (We used the heart from the Made for You Clear Stamp Set) stamp the heart on ivory cardstock in red ink and cut out. Take two layers of tulle and fold them in half, cutting out a heart shape on the folded edge. Place the tulle hearts over the checkerboard pattern where desired. Secure with a piece of 3-d sticky foam attached to the stamped heart and pressed over the tulle hearts. Press hard so the foam adheres to the paper underneath. 7. Punch two holes with a hole punch to the right of B and twist tulle through the holes to make a ribbon. This technique is explained in the Fabric Daisy Delight Card Making instructions under step 5. 8. If desired, stamp a sentiment onto ivory cardstock in brown ink, cut out and mat and secure as desired to the front or inside of your card for a completed card making project.Other Stamps Applicable to This Card
