Scrapbook Art on Wooden Letters

Paint the edges of your letters using acrylic craft paint. Dark accent colors usually turn out best, however, colors drawn from your paper will also look good.
Place the wooden letter onto your scrapbook paper. Be sure that if the right side of the letter faces up, so does the right side of the paper and visa versa. Trace closely around the edge of the letter.
Cut out the letters on the inside of the line you drew. Once the letter is cut out, place it on the wood and test the size. Trim as needed to get a good fit.
Place your paper letter upside down on newspaper and using a spray adhesive, spray the back of the letter. Let it sit a moment, then adhere to the wood.
Using a sponge dauber, ink the edges of your letter with ink that matches the acrylic paint you used in step 1.
Embellish the letters as desired to complete the craft.

There are lots of opportunities available for using your clear rubber stamps in a wide array of hobby crafts. In fact, clear stamps are a valuable asset for crafters who know how to recognize a stamping opportunity. Consider some of the following possibilities.

STAMPING ON WOOD

An ordinary wooden snowman ornament becomes extraordinary with stamped snowflakes. This is easily done with a stamping glue pad and snowflake clear stamps. Simply stamp snowflakes randomly over the body of the snowman and add glitter. Seal well and enjoy the interest of nearly invisible snowflakes that appear as if by magic as they sparkle in the sunlight.

Teacher Gift Stamping on wood can also be done with pigment inks. This simple apple shape was quickly inked with a sponge dauber, then stamped in an apple pattern using the Apple clear stamp. The craft was completed with the words "#1 Teacher" written with a pigment ink marker. The apple was finished with a glitter spray to add a shimmering finish. This apple may be attached to a card or made to adorn a Christmas tree.

STAMPING ON SCRAPBOOK PAPER CRAFTS

Stamps are a great way to embellish scrapbook paper and paper element in a fun craft. In the photo there is a menu planning board created simply with scrapbook paper and a weekday print out. The stripes in the paper are enhanced with border clear stamps, as is the mixing bowl. Stitch lines have been added for a more country home feel.
